POLINI ITALIAN CUP 2009 SCOOTER 70, MAXI SCOOTER, PIT BIKE TO GET OFF THE GROUND!

Big novelties for the 2009 Polini Italian Cup: two of the five races, indeed, will house also the Maxi Scooters of the National Maxi Scooters Trophy, while a mono tyre has been introduced for all the four Polini Italian Cup Trophies.

Furthermore, the technical rule of the Scooter 70 Evolution Trophy will allow the only use of cylinder kits corresponding to the Polini catalogue part number. These two novelties will level up the scooter performance while racing and make more interesting and well balanced this championship. The other three Trophies and are instead reserved for the Polini pit bikes.

The 2008 Polini Italian Cup is among the most followed championships by the tuned up scooter and Polini pit bike riders; it will always be organized by the Moto Club Bergamo with the support of the Polini Motori.

Two of the calendar’s five races will see compete during the same day also the Maxi Scooters of the Maxi Scooters National Trophy, whose rule can be consulted on the website: www.trofeomaxiscooter.com

In the Polini Italian Cup, instead, “the mono tyre” has been introduced in order to avoid the use of tyres with special mix suitable for dry or wet asphalt. All the participants to the four Trophies must use, as per rule, only the tyres of the supplier P.M.T., from Latina.

The P.M.T. will give free of charge, a set of tyres to whom will register within and not later than February, 10th 2009 and will assure on tracks the free assembly of tyres, which can be purchased at a reduced price (€75,00 slick, €90,00 rain) by the riders of the Scooter 70 Evolution Trophy and of the Pit Bike Trophy.

The 2009 Polini Italian Cup will award 4 three-coloured titles.

“Scooter 70 Evolution Trophy”;
the scooter category proves itself to be even more interesting: in 2009, indeed, only kit with the Polini catalogue part number will be admitted (to see rules: www.polini.com). In this way all the participants will be on the same technical level, making races more doubtful and optimizing the costs.

“Minimotard Pit Bike Polini XP 4T 110 cc. Trophy”; as always, it will be divided into two classes: the “Under”, for the youngest XP 4T riders from 9 to 14 years old and the “Over”, for riders beyond 14 years old. This last class will be identified as “Polini XP 4T Evolution Trophy” since the Polini XP 4T bikes can be equipped with the new Polini cylinder-piston kit (and not the 4 valve head).

“Polini XP 4 Street 125 cc. Minimotard Trophy ”; it is for Polini XP 4 Street 125cc with standard equipment organized to keep down costs. The 2009 FMI rules foresee only one class for riders from 14 years old on to ride on tracks with 125cc bikes.
